    It's seasoned with aromatic chicken breast seasoning, but you can get different flavors and tastes by substituting with your favorite seasonings once in a while.

    This recipe is quick and you can get a large amount of baked chicken at once and can then refrigerate leftovers to use in salads, sandwiches, and more.

    You can also use this recipe for bone in chicken breast although cooking time will slightly vary.

    Ingredients

    Chicken Breasts: Boneless and skinless. Medium or large size chicken breast fillets can be used but try and use the ones that are similar in size.

    Olive oil: A very light coating of olive oil is used to help the seasoning stick to the chicken as well as keep the chicken moist and nice.

    Paprika

    Oregano

    Garlic powder

    Thyme

    Black pepper

    Brown Sugar - (optional) - This gives the top a lovely caramelized look and combines with the spices and herbs to give a great tasting boneless chicken breast dish. This is an optional ingredient and you can omit it if you prefer the seasoning to be sugar-free.

    If you don’t want to use this mix then you can use any other store-bought or homemade seasoning like:

    Italian Seasoning

    Jerk seasoning

    Cajun Seasoning

    The three steps of this recipe are to make the seasoning, season chicken, and bake. Here's how to bake chicken breast in oven:

    Make the seasoning: In a small bowl, mix the paprika, pepper, oregano, parsley, garlic powder, brown sugar, and salt.

    Season: Pat the chicken breast pieces dry, lightly brush all sides with olive oil, then add seasoning. Sprinkle the seasoning over the chicken pieces making sure to properly coat all parts.

    Bake: Arrange the chicken breasts in a baking dish or tray, put the baking tray in the oven, and bake the chicken for 20 - 25 minutes at a temperature of 200C or till the skin is golden brown and inside cooked.

    After 25 minutes, bring out the baking tray and let the chicken rest for 5 minutes to redistribute juices within the pieces.

    How Long To Bake Chicken Breast in The Oven

    The time to bake chicken breast in the oven is about 18-25 minutes for medium size pieces at a temperature of 425F/220C. The duration according to other sizes and oven temperature is as follows:

    How long to bake chicken breast in the oven at a temperature of 180C/400F is between 25 - 30 minutes.

    Large Breasts pieces- bake time is between 30-35 minutes.

    Small Breast pieces bake time is between 15-20 minutes.

    To be well cooked and safe to eat, the internal temperature of the chicken at the thickest part should be at least 74C/165F when checked with an instant-read thermometer.

    Don't forget to rest the chicken breast for 5 minutes after baking. You can leave it for more than 5 minutes depending on the size.

    In the fridge: Put leftover cooked chicken into a sealable container and store it for 4 to 5 days in a fridge. Use within the stated time.

    Freeze for later: It can be frozen for several months. Put in a Ziploc bag or airtight container, label, and store in the freezer for up to 6 months. You can slice or shred the chicken before freezing to make the reheating process easy.
