Spicy chicken thighs recipe made with few ingredients, easy to cook, and is ready in just 40 minutes. You get delicious, tender, and juicy inside spicy baked chicken thighs that can be made with bone-in or boneless chicken thighs.

Spicy Chicken Thighs Recipe
This spicy chicken thighs recipe is easy, quick, and simple and anyone can make it to perfection.
It’s made with few pantry ingredients that are cheap and easily available.
These spicy baked chicken thighs are perfect for a weeknight dinner served with vegetables and potatoes or any other side dish of choice.
You can use bone-in or skinless boneless chicken thighs and make it sweet and spicy by brushing with honey glaze 5 minutes before it comes out of the oven.

Spicy Chicken Thighs Marinade
The spicy chicken thighs marinade for this recipe is made up of few pantry ingredients that one would normally have in their kitchen cupboard.
The ingredients include ginger, pepper, garlic, and others which I have listed in the ingredients section below.
I normally like to marinate the chicken for at least 60 minutes to allow the flavors to infuse in the chicken. You can marinate for up to 24 hours however if you do not have time to marinate, you can cook the chicken straight away.
Ingredients
Chicken thighs
Paprika
Black pepper
Cayenne pepper
Ginger
Garlic powder
Stock cube (optional)
Salt
Sriracha – Optional
Oil – Olive oil, or vegetable oil

How to Make Spicy Chicken Thighs
Clean and pat the chicken thighs dry with a paper towel.
Make the spicy chicken thighs marinade by mixing paprika, ginger, black pepper, garlic powder, stock cube, oil, and salt in a small bowl.
Add the chicken thighs in a bowl, add in the marinade then mix well till all the parts are covered evenly in the marinade.

If you have time, put it in the fridge to marinate for 60 minutes or more otherwise continue to the next step below.
Arrange the chicken thighs on a baking tray and put the tray in the oven.

Bake at a temperature of 200C/400F for 35-40 minutes or till they are well cooked and no pinkiness in the middle.
If using boneless chicken thighs, it will cook faster than bone-in so check for doneness after 20 minutes.

Bring the tray out, serve and enjoy.
What To Serve With
You can serve spicy chicken thighs with:
Mashed potatoes, or roasted potatoes
Boiled vegetables, roasted vegetables
Rice, couscous, bulghur

How To Store
Leave to cool completely, put in an airtight container or Ziploc bags, then store in the fridge where it will keep well for up to 5 days.
If stored in the freezer, it will last for up to 6 months. Put in a freezer safe container or Ziploc, label with dates before putting in the freezer.
Reheat in the oven or microwave when needed but once reheated, consume and do not refreeze.
Tips
- Clean and pat the chicken thighs dry before adding the seasoning.
- Ensure that chicken is well cooked and there’s no pinkiness in the middle.
- Don’t overcrowd the baking tray.
- Lining the baking tray with parchment paper makes cleaning the tray afterwards easier.
- Drain the juice or serve with chicken.
