Chicken Thighs Seasoning And Marinade
I've used a few spices and herbs to make the simple chicken thighs seasoning and added oil to make it a marinade. You can exclude the oil if you prefer a dry rub seasoning.
Spices and herbs that go well with chicken thighs which i have used in this recipe are:
Paprika
Onion powder
Garlic powder
Parsley
Oregano
Black pepper
Others you can add are Thyme, Cumin, Rosemary. You can also use my simple chicken seasoning, chicken breast seasoning, or wings dry rub to season it.

Chicken thighs - Skinless boneless

Black pepper - You can substitute it with cayenne pepper or crushed chilli flakes.
Salt
Oil - Olive oil, vegetable oil, or sunflower oil.
How To Air Fry Boneless Chicken Thighs
Pat the chicken thighs dry with a kitchen towel to remove moisture.
In a small container, mix the paprika, oregano, parsley, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, oil, and salt in a small bowl.
Add the marinade to the chicken thighs and rub it in to make sure that all parts of the chicken are coated in the marinade.
If you have the time, you can put it in the fridge to marinate for a few hours. If not, go ahead to the next step immediately.
Arrange the boneless chicken thighs in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
Don’t put them over one another and don't overcrowd the air fryer basket.
Air fry at a temperature of 400F/200C for 15-18 minutes flipping the chicken thighs halfway into cooking.
When the chicken is cooked, remove them from the air fryer.
Serve and enjoy.
Frozen Boneless Skinless Chicken Thighs in Air Fryer
Yes, you can cook frozen boneless skinless chicken thighs in the air fryer, and here's how to do that:
Deglaze - If the chicken is covered in ice, deglaze by running them under water for few minutes. Also, separate them into individual pieces if they are stuck together.
Season - Rub the marinade all over the chicken thighs.
Air fry - Arrange the chicken in a single layer in the air fryer basket and air fry at a temperature of 200C/400F for 22-25 minutes.
Serve - Take the chicken thighs out of the air fryer and serve.
How Long To Cook Boneless Chicken Thighs in Air Fryer
This depends on factors such as size, thickness, if cooking fresh or frozen and more.
If cooking from fresh, how long to cook boneless chicken thighs in air fryer is between 12-20 minutes depending on the size and thickness of each piece.
How long to cook frozen boneless chicken thighs in air fryer is between 17-25 minutes because cooking from frozen requires additional 5 minutes or more.
For how long to cook boneless skinless chicken thighs in the air fryer, the time is between 12 - 18 minutes.
How long to cook bone-in skin on chicken thighs is between 20-26 minutes.
The best way to determine if the chicken is cooked is to check with an instant thermometer (probe). If the temperature is 165F/75C or more then it is safe to eat.

How to Store
To store leftover air fried chicken thighs, let them cool completely before packing them in an airtight container, or food bag then label, and store in the fridge where It will last up to 5 days or in the freezer where It can be frozen for up to 6 months.
To reheat: reheat it either in the air fryer, oven, or microwave.
For reheating chicken thighs in the air fryer, remove chicken from any packaging, then arrange them on the air fryer basket. Air fry for 4 minutes at air fryer temperature of 400F/ 200C. If chicken is not warmed through at this time, add an additional time of 2 minutes.
If reheating from frozen, it will take longer than reheating from chilled. Bone-in chicken thighs will take longer than boneless chicken thighs.
To reheat in the oven, arrange thighs on an oven tray and bake them in the oven at a temperature of 180C for 5 minutes or till warmed through.
To reheat in the microwave, remove all packaging then put on a plate that is safe to use in the microwave. Warm on high settings at 1-minute intervals till it's heated through.

I suggest you check it 4 minutes before the end of the cooking time and decide if to go all the way or not.
