Add paprika, garlic powder, parsley, oregano, rosemary, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and oil into a bowl. Mix till well combined.
Remove giblets from the chicken and then pat the whole chicken dry with a kitchen towel.
Apply the marinade all over the whole chicken and inside the chicken.If you have the time, put the chicken in the fridge to marinate for 1-4 hours. Put the marinated chicken in the air fryer basket breast side up.Switch on the air fryer and set it to a temperature of 180C/360F.
Air fry whole chicken for 40 minutes. After 40 minutes, bring the air fryer basket out and use a thong to flip over the whole chicken to breast side up then continue to air fry at a temperature of 360F/180C for 10 minutes.
When the chicken is cooked, bring out the air fryer basket and leave the chicken to rest for at least 10 minutes before cutting it and serving.
To be sure chicken is cooked, check with a meat thermometer. If the internal temperature at the thickest point is at least 165F/75C, then it is cooked and safe to eat.
