Spicy chicken drumsticks recipe that is easy, quick, and simple. These spicy chicken legs are packed full of flavor, tender, juicy inside, and crispy on the outside. It is baked in the oven and is ready in 40 minutes.
Wash and pat dry. If you don't wash your chicken just pat dry with a paper towel and add in a bowl. Add the ginger, paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, olive oil, and salt to the chicken. Mix well till combined. If you have the time, cover the bowl with clingfilm, put it in the fridge to marinate for an hour. If not continue to the next step below.
Arrange the marinated drumsticks in a single layer on a baking paper-lined tray and put the tray on the middle shelf of the oven. Set the oven temperature to 200C and bake the chicken for 35-40 minutes or till done. It's fine if you don't have baking paper. It just makes cleaning the baking tray easier.
Bring out of the oven, leave to rest for 5 minutes then serve.

Don't forget to immediately clean all tools used to cut or clean the raw chicken.
Pat chicken dry with a paper towel before adding the marinade.
Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes if you have the time.

Substitute cayenne pepper for black pepper, chili, crushed pepper flakes, or sriracha sauce. Also, you can adjust the quantity of pepper to how hot you like it.
